Our Commitment
IWV Digital Solutions LLC is committed to ensuring that our website (iwvdigitalsolutions.com) and our software products are accessible to people with disabilities. We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and continuously work to improve the accessibility of our digital experiences.
Website Accessibility
We have taken the following steps to ensure accessibility of the IWV Digital Solutions website:
- Semantic HTML — We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark elements, and semantic markup throughout the website.
- Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements (links, buttons, forms) are accessible via keyboard. Navigation can be performed without a mouse.
- Color contrast — Text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA contrast ratio requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Alt text — All informational images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images use empty alt attributes.
- Responsive design — The website is fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, and supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- Form labels — All form inputs are associated with descriptive labels for screen reader compatibility.
- Link purpose — Link text is descriptive and indicates the destination or purpose of the link.
- Focus indicators — Visible focus indicators are present for keyboard navigation.
Product Accessibility (NotesXML)
NotesXML is built with accessibility in mind:
- Keyboard shortcuts — Comprehensive keyboard shortcuts for navigation and note operations.
- High-contrast themes — Multiple theme options including high-contrast color schemes.
- Font scaling — Adjustable font sizes throughout the application.
- Screen reader support — ARIA labels and semantic HTML used in the application interface.
- No reliance on color alone — Status indicators and interactive elements use shape, text, or icon in addition to color.
Known Limitations
While we strive for comprehensive accessibility, some areas are still being improved:
- PDF annotation tools may have limited screen reader support for certain annotation types.
- Some complex data visualizations in benchmark articles may not be fully accessible to screen readers; text descriptions are provided where possible.
- The drawing note type relies on visual interaction and may not be fully accessible to users who cannot see the canvas.
We are actively working to address these limitations in future releases.
