Refunds for Google Play purchases are handled by Google. For the first 2 hours after a one-time purchase or 48 hours after a subscription, you can self-refund through the Google Play app. After that window, contact Google Play support directly. We cannot override Google Play refund decisions.
If you purchased a license directly from our website (Professional Lifetime $39.99 or Academic Lifetime $24.99 — direct sales are lifetime-only), enter the license key in the Android app at Settings → License → Activate. The same key works on Android, Windows, and Linux up to 5 device activations total.
AI models are downloaded from Hugging Face. If the download fails, check your internet connection and ensure your device has the required free storage (model size is shown in the model browser). The Free tier models are Ministral 3 3B (about 2.2 GB) and Gemma 4 E2B (about 3.5 GB), each with a vision projector. Download size is shown in the model browser.
Voice transcription requires the Whisper model to be installed. On first use, the app prompts to download the Whisper Base model (approximately 80 MB). If installation was skipped, you can install it manually at Settings → Speech-to-Text Install.
If the app crashes immediately on launch, please use the bug report tool: tap and hold the NotesXML icon on your home screen, select "App info," and use the system settings to clear app data. Then reinstall and contact android@iwvdigitalsolutions.com with your device model and Android version.
NotesXML supports Samsung DeX for desktop-mode usage on compatible Samsung Galaxy devices. Connect your device to a monitor via USB-C or wirelessly; the app adjusts its layout for the larger screen automatically.
The Free tier includes Ministral 3 3B, the default model on Android and desktop alike, and Gemma 4 E2B. Both are vision-capable, so image and handwriting recognition are available on the Free tier, and both are Apache 2.0 with no revenue condition. The smallest model in the catalog, LFM2.5 VL 1.6B, is part of Professional and is offered under the LFM Open License v1.0 (personal use, and commercial use by organisations under US $10M annual revenue). On first launch the app will offer to download a model from Hugging Face. Llama 3.2 1B Instruct was retired from the catalog in 5.181.4; if you already downloaded it, it remains on your device and continues to work.
NotesXML on Android contains no advertising SDKs and does not collect or transmit advertising identifiers (no AdMob, no GAID). The full privacy disclosure is in the Privacy Policy Section 3.1, which is binding alongside the Google Play Data Safety Form filed for the app.
